DanceCor is for Dance!
DanceCor was formed in July 1994 in a quest for a democratic open society where new ideas would be welcomed.
Led by Sandra Rosenberg in the beginning, the leadership baton, as per the constitution, was handed down to others. Now an Examining Board and a Board of Executives guide DanceCor.
New syllabi in Dance, Funk, Tap and Musical Theatre were completed and formally launched in February 1995. The “Articles of Association” with the new constitution, were registered on 5th January 1996.
Our syllabi are now taught nationally and internationally.
DanceCor is SAQA accredited. We have been accredited to offer the program “Facilitate dance instruction in one or more dance genré – beginner to intermediate level” This is the first step and we will work towards adding further unit standards in the future.
